“The Friendly Netball Club”

We are a netball club based in Ashford, Kent with three teams that play in the Ashford League and one in the Canterbury League. We practice every week on a Wednesday evening and we always welcome new players. Ours is club for everyone of whatever age or standard.

The club was started by Jo Dodds of Counterpoint Matters Ltd in January 2007. We were originally called Your Local Handbooks Netball Club and our first team to enter the Ashford League in the 2007 Winter League was Your Local Handbooks, followed by The Hythe Handbook and The Canterbury Handbook in the Summer of 2008.

In the Spring of 2008 when Jo relaunched her business as Counterpoint Matters Ltd the club name was changed to the Counterpoint Netball Club and the second team was renamed from The Canterbury Handbook to Counterpoint Networking. A third team was also formed for the League Winter Season called Counterpoint Matters.

In the autumn of 2009 our first team was sponsored by Red Dragon IT so that name has been changed to Red Dragon and we also entered a Counterpoint team into the Canterbury league.
